High quality cost effective and customisable locking solutions

At Mersey Locksmiths, all our master key systems are designed and built in house using quality cylinders from the world's leading manufacturers. We don't sell off the shelf Chinese made master key systems. These can't be customised and have no room for expansion and they're also no cheaper than our systems.

We offer ongoing support and supply. All our systems are unique to each customer and each customer has a unique system number without duplication.

Maximum control

Master keyed suites often have sub-suites, allowing you to have full control over who is allowed entry to any given area. Most master key systems provide the option to create a hierarchy system, whereby certain people can gain access to every area while others are given sub-keys to restrict them to a select few.

Examples of this could be seen in a small hotel where the hotel manager has a master key to open all doors, and cleaning staff have a sub-master to open a range of bedroom doors but none of the offices, for instance. The guest keys can only open the main door and their individual rooms. This is an example of a basic system.

A cost effective choice

While the price of your chosen system will depend on a range of factors, cost is bound to be important. A master key system is usually less expensive than an electronic alternative. Electronic key cards can be very expensive to install and manage.

Don't let the fact they're less expensive fool you into thinking they're not as reliable or secure, though. This is simply not true. Master key systems are regarded as being one of the best access systems around thanks to the variety of options on offer and how much less expensive they are in comparison to other options like electric key cards. If you have a limited budget, then a master key system is the perfect choice.

Mersey Locksmiths in action: one key to three buildings

A Liverpool-based care provider managing three properties was juggling 60+ keys. Staff often carried the wrong set, causing delays.

We installed a 3-tier master key system: grand master for management, sub-masters for teams, and individual door keys for rooms. The outcome?

  • Staff reduced multiple keys to just one

  • Emergency access secured

  • Zones clearly defined

"It's a game changer for how we manage access - safer and so much simpler."

- Ops Manager, North West Care Group
