Gain entry with Mersey Locksmiths
There are two ways we can gain entry to your property: destructive and non-destructive. We always prefer to opt for a non-destructive approach, though there are times where it's out of our hands and we need to take a destructive route. It's important to understand what each one means in case you find yourself in that position.
Non-destructive gain entry
This requires specialist tools to gain entry to your property without causing any damage to your door, lock and/or mechanism. It's ideal when you can't find your keys and you don't want to replace locks, keys or other parts. Not all locksmiths are trained to get into your property in this way.
Destructive gain entry
When we're forced to get into your property by destructive entry, we only ever damage the lock which can easily be replaced. We never damage the door, door-frame or mechanisms, unlike untrained locksmiths. Here are some of the times when we simply have to damage the lock to gain entry to your property:
-
The lock is unpickable
-
The lock is already damaged or worn
-
An emergency
There may be other times we have to use destructive entry, though we'll discuss this with you before we go ahead. In the event we have to take this approach, we can fit new secure, snap-safe locks, though we won't charge anything for gaining entry.
